5 Tips to Organise your Life

5 Tips to Organise your Life

No-one likes being disorganised. It can create feelings of anxiety and stress, especially if the disorganisation is causing problems in your life. Maybe you forgot to finish an important project, or maybe you can never find the item you are looking for. Either way, it’s a problem – but thankfully it is fairly easy to become more organised. You just need to do a few simple things!

Here five tips to help you organise your life.

1. Tips To Organise Your Life: Your Workspace

Your workspace is supposed to be a place of productivity, so it is particularly important that this area is tidy and organised. Invest in a proper storage system to help you stay on top of things, and consider labelling different drawers/boxes so you know exactly what is inside. This means that you are less likely to misplace important documents (or spend ages looking for a pencil!).

2. Your Kitchen

Kitchens can get messy quickly, especially if you love cooking. You can help combat this issue by having a proper clear out; go through the fridge and cupboards and throw away anything that has expired. You may also want to get rid of any kitchen appliances that you don’t use.

Once you have done this, you can implement storage systems that help to keep the room organised. Make sure everything has a specific place, and consider buying drawer dividers and hidden storage baskets so that things don’t get messy again.

3. Your Wardrobe

Does the inside of your wardrobe look like a clothes explosion? Can you never find the top you are looking for? If so, it may be time to organise your wardrobe. The first thing you should do is go through the clothes and get rid of any that you don’t wear anymore. This will create more space for the clothes that you do actually wear.

Next you can add storage elements to the inside of your wardrobe to keep things tidy. Stacked storage boxes can be placed in the bottom of the wardrobe to store folded t-shirts, and shoe racks can be hung on the inside of the door to store shoes or socks. This will make the most of the space you have.

4. Your Car

It is easy for cars to get untidy, especially if you have young children, but it is possible to create an organised system that makes the car a more pleasant place to be. You can keep cleaning supplies in the front of the car so you can clean up spills as soon as they happen, and you could also keep extra supplies (blankets, a first aid kit and entertainment for kids) in the boot so that the car itself feels tidy.

5. Your Finances

Do you want to get your finances in order? If so, you’re not alone. Many Brits are worried about their finances as the cost of living continues to increase. You can organise your finances by sitting down and writing down your outgoing expenses and monthly income. Look at areas where you could spend less, and create a monthly budget for saving/paying off debt.
